Prerequisites and co-requisites
Know: 1) recommended literary texts; 2) the peculiarities of the literary epoch; Be able to. 1) analyze them in the context of the development of literary and cultural Ukrainian-Eastern relations; 2) determine, using the material, the features, type of Ukrainian oriental discourse, the most characteristic figures and works; 3) analyze the genre-stylistic, problematic and thematic features of works; 4) express their own thoughts on the material studied; Possess basic skills of 1) comparative analysis.
Course content
The course is interactive. It is based on the courses "Introduction to Literary Studies," "Literatures of the Ancient East," "History of the Ancient East," and the course of (school) Ukrainian literature and provides for "different educational levels" (R. Semkiv). In addition to lectures, seminars, and independent work, the program includes classroom discussions, informative presentations, work with electronic resources, and other innovative methods.

Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the material learned, in particular, an assessment of theoretical training, which is 40% of the total grade, and an assessment of practical training, which is 60% of the total grade. Assessment of semester work: 1. Answers in seminar classes: 14 - 21 points. 2. Abstract: 5 - 9 points. 3. Individual task: 12 - 20 points. 4. Modular control work: 5 - 10 points. 5. Exam: 20 - 40 points.
