Full-time form

Successful mastering of the disciplines "Japanese Language", "Introduction to Eastern Philology", "Translation Studies", "Culture-Oriented Linguistics", "Stylistics", "Translation Practice", etc.; knowledge of the theoretical foundations of linguistics and translation studies; knowledge of the basics of the practice of Japanese text translation, interpretation skills.

The discipline VB.2.05 "Translation of the Advertising Texts" from the optional block of disciplines "Japanese Linguocultural Studies and Translation" is taught in the 6th semester and consists of 4 credits, i.e., 120 hours (50 hours of practical classes and 70 hours of self-study). The form of final control is a pass-fail examination. The course is designed to update the acquired theoretical knowledge and form practical skills, abilities and competencies of students that are necessary for the future profession of a philologist-translator. Students get acquainted with the main types, lexical, grammatical and stylistic features of the Japanese advertising texts and the specifics of their translation into Ukrainian.

Form of training: practical sessions, self-study. Teaching methods: explaining new material, active listening, engaging in discussions, working in groups, discussing results.
