Prerequisites and co-requisites
1) Successful completion of the disciplines (after two years of study) "Japanese Language", "Introduction to the Eastern Philology", "Lexicology", etc.;
2) knowledge of the theoretical foundations of philological science (linguistics and literary studies);
3) skills of analyzing the Japanese material.
Course content
Theoretical material is presented about the principles and methods of linguoculturology and features of the main linguoculturological concepts (world view, concept, cultural codes) based on the Japanese language. The following main issues are considered: 1) linguoculturology as a science, the concept of a linguistic and cultural concept, directions of concepts research; 2) the history of linguoculturological research on the material of the Japanese language, features of understanding linguistic and cultural phenomena by the Japanese linguists; 3) features of the national-specific part of the Japanese world view; 4) characteristics and classification of universal basic cultural codes in the Japanese linguoculture. The task is to form holistic knowledge about the origin and basic patterns of development of the Japanese linguoculturology. As a result of studying the discipline, students will master the basic principles of linguoculturology and form the simplest skills of linguoculturological analysis of the Japanese material.
