Prerequisites and co-requisites
Fluency in the Ukrainian and Japanese languages; knowledge of the theoretical foundations of linguistics; successful mastering of the disciplines "Japanese Language: Intermediate Level", "Lexicology of the Japanese Language", comprehensive discipline "Introduction to Philology".
Course content
The discipline VB.2.3 "Ethnocultural Specifics of the Japanese Phraseology" is a component of the oprional block 2 "Japanese Linguocultural Studies and Translation" for students studying in the specialty "Philology (035.069 Philology (Eastern Languages and Literatures (Translation Inclusive), the first - Japanese)"; it is taught in the 5th semester, the scope of the discipline – 3 credits, 90 hours (40 hours of practical classes and 50 hours of self-study). The form of final control is a pass-fail examination. The course is designed to explain the main ethno-cultural features of the Japanese phraseology, foster skills in analyzing phraseological units of various thematic groups. Self-study of students covers individual study of special literature.

Forms of training: practical sessions, self-study. Teaching methods: explaining new material, active listening, engaging in discussions, working in groups, discussing results.
Assessment methods and criteria
