Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful completion of courses: Chinese language (basic, intermediate, advanced levels), Introduction to Chinese philology, Basics of translation practice, Chinese language translation practice, Basics of Chinese translation theory, Linguistics of an oriental language. 2. Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of general linguistics, literary studies, cultural studies. 3. Mastering the skills of literary and cultural analysis of original works.
Course content
Within the academic discipline "Linguistic analysis of artistic texts" theoretical material is presented on the principles and methods of linguistic analysis of artistic texts in general and from the Chinese language in particular - on the specific material of classical and modern poetry, prose and drama. The following main issues are considered: adequate understanding of literary works and their linguistic analysis; analysis of works of various genres and their translation; literary currents and trends in modern Chinese literature; review of the theoretical assets of Ukrainian and Chinese scientists in the field of linguistic analysis of texts. The discipline consists of two modules: Module 1 is aimed at the assimilation of theoretical material by students regarding the principles and methods of linguistic analysis of artistic text (on the material of Chinese classical and modern poetry, prose and drama); Module 2 is aimed at practicing skills in peer-to-peer comprehensive linguistic analysis of Chinese literary texts. The study discipline "Linguistic analysis of literayr texts" is one of the components of the comprehensive training, elective block "Chinese studies: philology and translation". Two content modules are defined within the discipline: Module 1. Literary text and its specifics and Module 2. Levels of literary text analysis. Teaching and assessment languages: Ukrainian, Chinese.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The course provides for the following forms of training organization: practical classes conducted using interactive learning methods, and independent work. The main types of work and, accordingly, the objects of semester control are: classroom work, answers in a practical lesson, modular control works with open answers. Detailed planned educational activities and teaching methods are presented in the work program of the discipline, published on the official website of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology.
Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the learned material, in particular theoretical training, which is 40% of the total assessment, and practical training, which is 60% of the total assessment. The semester number of points is formed by the points received by the student for classroom work and for independent work; As a result: in the maximum dimension of 100 points, in the minimum dimension 60 points. The discipline ends with a getting the credit, which is set based on the results of the student's work throughout the semester and does not provide for additional assessment measures. Evaluation criteria are presented in the working program of the discipline, published on the official website of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology.
