Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful completion of courses: Chinese language, History of foreign literature, Oral and ancient literature of China, Chinese literature of the 2nd to 12th centuries, Chinese traditional drama. 2. Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of modern literary studies and cultural studies, traditional and modern paradigms of modern literary interpretation. 3. Possession of techniques and methods of traditional literary analysis of artistic texts, basic skills of artistic translation and text analysis. 4. The ability to perform a genre-stylistic and figurative-symbolic analysis of Chinese prose and drama of the specified period.
Course content
The study discipline "History of Chinese Literature" is a complex multi-semester discipline consisting of 4 parts: Part 1. Oral and Ancient Chinese Literature (2 credits); Part 2. Chinese literature of the II-XII centuries. (4 credits); Part 3. Chinese traditional drama (2 credits) Part 4. Chinese literature of the XIV-XIX centuries. (3 credits). Teaching and assessment languages: Ukrainian, Chinese. Within the framework of the fourth part, which focuses on the peculiarities of the development of Chinese novels of the XIV-XIX centuries, as well as the influence of historical circumstances, philosophical concepts (primarily Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism), social demand, etc. on the artistic paradigm of Minsk and Tsin prose, 2 modules are defined: Module 1, aimed at studying the process of formation of the "cycle novel" genre 章回体少寺 during the Minsk era (明朝, 1368–1644); Module 2, aimed at highlighting the features of the development of Chinese satirical prose and drama during the period of the Tsien Enlightenment (清朝, 1644–1911).

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The course provides the following forms of training: lectures and seminars conducted using interactive teaching methods, and individual work. The main types of activities and, accordingly, the objects of semester control are: classroom activities, answers during seminars, analytical report (presentation), module tests. Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the learned material, in particular, theoretical training, which makes up 40% of the total grade, and practical training, which makes up 60% of the total grade. The semester number of points is formed by the points received by the student for classroom work and for independent work; in the end: in the maximum dimension 60 points, in the minimum dimension 36 points. Final assessment: exam. The assessment criteria for the exam are presented in the work program of the discipline, published on the official website of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology.
