Learning outcomes
PLO 1. To communicate fluently in official and foreign languages (English, French / Spanish) on professional issues with specialists and non-specialists both orally and in the written form; to use the languages effectively for cross-cultural communication. PLO 5. To cooperate with colleagues, representatives of other cultures and religions, proponents of different political views, etc. PLO 6. Use information and communicative technologies to solve complicated specialized tasks and professional issues. PLO 10. To know the norms of literary language (Ukrainian, English, French / Spanish) and be able to use them in practical activity. PLO 14. To use Ukrainian, English, French / Spanish in oral and written forms, in different registers of communication (formal, informal, neutral), for solving communicative tasks in educational, professional, scientific spheres, and everyday life.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Ability to work with scientific sources and dictionaries and to work in a team; to be able to work of a search nature, and the skills of creative and systematic thinking.
Course content
The goal is to acquaint students with the norms of the literary Spanish language based on texts and audio and video materials of general cultural orientation, as well as oral informational messages; to develop oral and written communication skills in Spanish for further free communication on the international level, as well as skills in the translation into Ukrainian of Spanish-language literature of general cultural orientation, with the aim of better understanding the cultural aspects of a second foreign language. It is important at this stage for students to master the grammatical component of a second foreign language, the topics of which are determined by the program, for further successful communication between students and native speakers of Spanish.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Practical classes, independent work. Types of work: Control tests; Oral answer; Written homework; Modular control test.
Assessment methods and criteria
During the semester, after lectures on relevant topics, seminars, and laboratory classes are held, at which evaluation is carried out according to the types of work. The final assessment is conducted in the form of an exam: • the maximum number of points on the exam is 40 points, the minimum number of points (positive score) that are added to semester grades is 24 points (60% of the maximum number of points assigned to the exam); • The semester final score is formed by the points received by the student in the process of performing the declared types and forms of education, and the points received on the exam, the maximum distribution is carried out according to the following algorithm: 60 points (60%) - semester control and 40 points (40%) - exam).
