PLO 1. To communicate fluently in official and foreign languages (English, French / Spanish) on professional issues with specialists and non-specialists both orally and in the written form; to use the languages effectively for cross-cultural communication. PLO 8. To know the systemic characteristics of the Ukrainian and English languages, structural and systemic organization of the written and oral texts as a verbal communication mechanism; to know the general properties of literature as an art of word and be able to use this knowledge in professional activity. PLO 10. To know the norms of literary language (Ukrainian, English, French / Spanish) and be able to use them in practical activity. PLO: 11, 14.

Successful mastering of academic subjects: Theoretical course of English language, Practical course of English language.

The final exam in English involves checking the level of language proficiency at the phonetic level, where the level of compliance of oral speech with the phonetic standards of the British version of the English language is assessed. At the morphological level, the skills and ability to select the appropriate morphological units for the organization of both oral and written speech are assessed. At the syntactic level, the ability to correctly form minimal communicative units (sentences with observance of the rules of agreement of tenses and temporal determinants) is assessed. At the lexical level, the ability to select appropriate lexemes for the organization of both oral and written communication is assessed. Vocabulary, the ability to use linguistic terminology, and term systems of related fields of knowledge are also assessed. At the text level, the ability to correctly form oral and written both primary and secondary texts while maintaining textual coherence and cohesion is assessed.

The final exam in English takes the form of a comprehensive written test and open-ended tasks aimed at checking functional, language, and speech competencies in English. Types of tasks have different levels of complexity and are formed by blocks: reading, listening, writing, and speaking. According to the structure of the examination ticket, the final exam in English consists of three stages: 1. Written abstract of an English-language text of a general social nature; 2. Oral answer to a theoretical question within the scope of the studied material (without prior preparation); 3. Conversation on the proposed topic.

The number of points that a graduate can score is formed by the sum of points for 3 tasks: the maximum number of points is 100 (30 points – 1 task; 35 points – 2 tasks; 35 points – 3 tasks), the minimum positive number of points - 60.
