P01. Understand key chemical concepts, basic facts, concepts, principles and theories related to the natural, life and earth sciences, as well as chemical technologies at a level sufficient for their professional application and to enable further in-depth understanding of specialized areas of chemistry . P14. To carry out experimental work with the aim of testing hypotheses and researching chemical phenomena and regularities. P21. Monitor and analyze scientific sources of information and professional literature. P22. Discuss the problems of chemistry and its applied applications with colleagues and the target audience in national and foreign languages. P24. Use modern information and communication technologies for communication, as well as for data collection, analysis, processing, and interpretation.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Have basic knowledge of general chemistry.
2. Know the program material of the basic courses of inorganic and organic chemistry at undergraduate levels.
3. Know the program material of special courses of coordination and of bioinorganic chemistry at the undergraduate level.
3. To have the basics of knowledge of protein chemistry and mechanisms of inorganic reactions at the level undergraduate inorganic and organic chemistry basic course programs
Course content
As part of the course "Chemistry of metalloproteins"
the basic concepts of the chemistry of metal-containing proteins of various types are studied.
Issues of classification, structure, mechanisms of chemical reactions and
processes of electron transfer with the participation of metalloenzymes, transport and
electron transport metal-containing proteins.

Assessment methods and criteria
Semester control includes homework, test papers and defense of practical works. Evaluation is carried out according to the 100-point system. The maximum/minimum number of points that can be obtained by a student during the semester evaluation is 80 points/48 points. The final assessment is conducted in the form of a credit. The maximum/minimum number of points that can be obtained by a student at the credit is 20 points/12 points.
