Р08. To know principles and procedures of physical, chemical, physicochemical research methods, typical equipment, and instruments.
Р11. Skill to describe properties of aliphatic, aromatic, heterocyclic, and organometallic compounds, to explain nature and behavior of functional groups in organic molecules.
Р14. Skill to perform experimental work to test hypotheses and investigation of chemical phenomena and regularities.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Have basic knowledge of general chemistry.
2. Know the program material of the basic course of organic chemistry at the bachelor's level.
3. Possess basic skills of laboratory techniques and basics of organic synthesis at the bachelor's program level.
Course content
Basic concepts about the structure of high molecular weight compounds. Peculiarities of the molecular structure and physicochemical properties of structured polymer systems. Structure of macromolecules and supramolecular formations in polymers. Research methods of structured polymer systems.

Assessment methods and criteria
Semester control includes homework and tests. The evaluation is based on a 100-point scale. The maximum / minimum number of points that can be obtained by a student during the semester assessment is 60 points / 36 points. The final assessment is conducted in the form of an exam. The maximum / minimum number of points that can be obtained by a student in the exam is 40 points / 24 points.
