Form of study
Full-time form
Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Have basic knowledge of general chemistry. 2. Know the program material of the basic course of organic chemistry at the bachelor's level. 3. Possess basic skills of laboratory techniques at the bachelor's program level.
Course content
The educational discipline considers proteins, nucleic acids, the basics of peptide synthesis. In order to identify the connection between high molecular compounds of natural origin and synthetic polyelectrolytes, the physicochemical properties of polyelectrolyte solutions are studied in detail. Students get acquainted with polymer-polymer complexes, as analogs of biological systems, areas of application of polymer-polymer complexes are discussed.
