Learning outcomes
Р03. Skill to describe chemical data in symbolic form. Р08. To know principles and procedures of physical, chemical, physicochemical research methods, typical equipment, and instruments. Р09. Skill to plan and perform a chemical experiment, to apply suitable methods and techniques for preparation of solutions and reagents. Р11. Skill to describe properties of aliphatic, aromatic, heterocyclic, and organometallic compounds... Р12. To know main synthesis pathways in organic chemistry, including f interconversion of functional group and formation of carbon-carbon, carbon-heteroatom bonds. Р14. Skill to perform experimental work to test hypotheses and investigation of chemical phenomena and regularities. Р17. Ability to work individually or in a group, to obtain results within a limited time with an emphasis on professional honesty and scientific integrity. Р20. Skill to interpret the experimental data and to correlate this data with corresponding theories in chemistry.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know the program material of the basic course of organic chemistry at the bachelor's level. 2. Have basic knowledge of stereochemistry and mechanisms of organic reactions at the bachelor's program level. 3. Possess basic skills of laboratory techniques and basics of organic synthesis at the bachelor's program level.
Course content
Types of chromatography (horizontal, flow, two-dimensional, radial and others), chromatography on fixed and unfixed sorbent layer, basic laws and techniques of experimental chromatography on columns on alumina and silica gel, the possibility of separation and quantification of natural compounds by chromatography on paper.

Assessment methods and criteria
Semester control includes laboratory works, tests and surveys on the topics of tests. Evaluation is carried out on a 100-point system. The maximum / minimum number of points that can be obtained by a student during the semester assessment is 100 points / 60 points.
