Learning outcomes
Understand the relationship between the structure and properties of substances. Analyze and evaluate data, synthesize new ideas related to chemistry and its applied applications. Ability to use acquired knowledge and skills for calculations, display and modeling of chemical systems and processes, processing of experimental data. Monitor and analyze scientific sources of information and professional literature.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. To know the basics of general, inorganic, analytical and organic chemistry. 2. Be able to work with software for preparing multimedia presentations. 3. Have the skills to work with various sources of information.
Course content
The discipline is devoted to an in-depth theoretical study of approaches to the use of materials in methods of sample preparation and analysis. The course examines the classification of materials by nature, composition, physicochemical properties, in particular natural and synthetic materials of organic and inorganic origin, polymer materials, composites, nanomaterials and their use in the practice of analysis. Methods of obtaining materials with given chemical and analytical properties.

Semester control includes writing 3 control papers, 3 essays and creating a multimedia presentation. Evaluation is carried out according to the 100-point system. The minimum number of points per semester is 60 points.
