Learning outcomes
To create an idea of chemistry as a logical, unified, continuous and regular process of development of the system of knowledge about the material world; to establish a relationship between natural sciences and humanitarian disciplines; to unite all chemical disciplines that constitute the main content of modern chemistry.

Know the basics of inorganic and organic chemistry.
To know the purpose, subject, object, methodology of analytical chemistry.
To know the purpose, subject, object, methodology of physical chemistry.
To know general and recent European history and the history of Ukraine.
Course content
The discipline is dedicated to the history of the origin, development and formation of chemistry as a science; considers the most important events, chronology, sequence and internal logic of the formation of the main ideas, concepts and laws of chemistry, information about outstanding chemists of the past and present, about those who determined the main directions of the development of chemistry.

Assessment methods and criteria
Semester control includes homework and tests. The evaluation is based on a 100-point scale. The maximum / minimum number of points that can be obtained by a student during the semester assessment is 60 points / 36 points. The final assessment is conducted in the form of an exam. The maximum / minimum number of points that can be obtained by a student in the exam is 40 points / 24 points.
