Prerequisites and co-requisites
To know: theoretical and methodological foundations in the field of governance and management; features of social processes at the community level and in society as a whole; principles of project activities; legal framework regulating the activities of social work professionals in the community. To be able to: plan the project activity of a social worker, determine the goal and specify it in the tasks of the project activity of a specialist; clearly define the content, basic forms and methods of forming project teams in the community; research the social demand for current forms and methods of social assistance and support in the community; to systematize views, ideas, facts for the formation of theoretical and practical developments; use theoretical and methodological material for the preparation of research papers; conduct consultations on coordination of activities at the appropriate level;
Course content
The aim of the discipline is to study and master modern theoretical, methodological and technological knowledge and skills in management, psychology, sociology and social work in the field of community work. Reforming the sphere of public administration, implementing a strategy of decentralization and public self-government at the level of territorial communities elevates the role and mission of the social worker, who becomes an important link in community development, solving its social problems, preventing the emergence of negative phenomena in the community and promoting the community's experience of effective life, well-being and prosperity. The acquired knowledge from the course will allow students to master the relevant competencies and form an understanding of the activities, organizational and managerial aspects of a social worker in the community.

Assessment methods and criteria
Creative tasks for individual work - up to 5 points for each Preparation of reports and abstracts - up to 10 points for each Module test - up to 20 points Final assessment in the form of an exam - up to 40 points - 1-34 "unsatisfactory" with mandatory re-study of the discipline; - 35-59 "unsatisfactory" with the possibility of repeating the exam; - 60-64 "satisfactory" ("sufficient"); - 65-74 "satisfactory"; - 75 -84 "good"; - 85 - 89 "good" ("very good"); - 90-100 "excellent" To obtain an overall positive grade in the discipline, the exam score cannot be less than 24 points. A student is not allowed to take the final exam if he or she scored less than 20 points during the semester.
