Learning outcomes
LO1. To analyze and interpret mental phenomena, identify psychological problems and suggest ways to resolve them. LO2. To understand patterns and tendencies of the development and functioning of mental phenomena in the professional tasks’ context. LO10. To formulate logically own position in comprehensive way, discuss, defend, modify statements according to cultural characteristics of the partner.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
- Knowledge of the basics of general, experimental, differential, social and ethnocultural psychology, psychodiagnostics, personality psychology and developmental psychology, psychological counseling and psychotherapy. - The ability to select and apply research and psychodiagnostic methods, analyze, generalize and systematize the results of psychological research, adequately apply the scientific conceptual apparatus. - Possession of elementary skills to identify, analyze and explain mental phenomena; mastering the skills of searching, processing and analyzing information, using information and communication technologies.
Course content
Discipline "Fundamentals of Psycholinguistics" - belongs to the list of selective; - aimed at studying the patterns of speech behavior of a person and his speech production, psychological features of the linguistic personality, patterns and mechanisms of psycholinguistic influence; - introduces the methodological, theoretical and applied foundations of modern psycholinguistics, phenomena of speech activity and linguistic personality, methods of modern psycholinguistics - forms practical skills in psycholinguistic speech analysis - consists of three substantive parts: 1st is devoted to the analysis of speech activity in view of the basic provisions of psycholinguistics; 2-a – to study the psychological features of the linguistic personality, the patterns of language acquisition and the formation of speech activity, the formation of an individual speech style; 3rd – methods of psycholinguistic research and psycholinguistic influence.

Assessment methods and criteria
The grade is formed as the sum of all points scored during the semester. Oral answers (speech at the seminar, participation in discussions and debates, additions): 30/18 points Practical work: 30/18 points Creative independent work: 30/18 points Final test: 10/6 points The maximum number of points for work during the semester is 100. The final assessment is conducted in the form of credit. 0-59 – not counted; 60-100 credits
