Learning outcomes
PR 1. To search and analyze professionally important knowledge from various sources, including the use of modern information and communication technologies.
PR 5. Develop and implement programs of psychological interventions (counseling, psychological correction, psychotherapy, training), implement them in individual and group work, evaluate the quality.
PR 6. Develop educational materials and educational programs, implement them, receive feedback, and evaluate the quality.
PR 10. Assess the complexity of the tasks of the activity and make decisions about seeking help or certification training.
PR 12. Carry out analytical search in accordance with the formulated problem of scientific information and evaluate it by the criterion of adequacy

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know the theoretical foundations of general and developmental psychology, psychological patterns and tasks of personality development at different stages of ontogenesis; trends of modern psychotherapy.
2. Be able to select, correctly apply, analyze and interpret tests and questionnaries, be able to use basic evidence-based techniques of counseling and psychotherapy
3. To have basic skills of conducting a consultative interview, to have basic skills of organizing and conducting training activities
Course content
The purpose of the discipline is to give students knowledge and skills in the field of perinatal psychology and psychology of parenthood.
Perinatal psychology is a modern field of psychological science and practice that studies the changes in the family system in connection with the birth of a child, biopsychosocial aspects of the experience of women and men during the transition to parenthood. The course deals with the study of mental development in the prenatal period, psychological aspects of pregnancy and the postpartum period, the parenthood and child-parent relationships.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The course covers topics that are united into 2 modules.
Topics of module 1.
1. Prenatal psychology and psychology of parenthood as a branch of science and psychological practice.
2. Development of the psyche in the prenatal period.
3. Psychology of pregnancy and motherhood.
4. Psychological aspects of childbirth.
5. Psychological support of the dyad "mother-child" in the postpartum period.
6. Psychological support of a family experiencing perinatal loss.
Topics of module 2.
7. Parenthood as a systemic phenomenon. Ontogenesis of parenthood.
Assessment methods and criteria
Participation in discussions, work in mini-groups during classroom classes - 40 (min 24) points.
Tasks for independent work (work with cases) - 40 (min 24) points
Preparation and presentation of the abstract - 10 (min 6) points
Final test - 10 (min 6) points
Evaluation is carried out during the semester of all types of work. In the classroom, the activity of participants, participation in discussions and work in mini-groups is evaluated; at the end of the course the final test is conducted. The maximum number of points for work during the semester is 100.
