Learning outcomes
LO 10. Analyze the social and individual context of the problems of the individual, family, social group, community, formulate the goals and objectives of social work, plan interventions in difficult and unpredictable circumstances in accordance with the values of social work. LO 12. Assess the social consequences of policies in the field of human rights, social inclusion and sustainable development of society, develop recommendations for improving the regulatory support of social work. LO 16. Develop social projects at a highly professional level. LO 17. Independently build and maintain purposeful, professional relationships with a wide range of people, representatives of various communities and organizations, argue, persuade, conduct constructive negotiations, effective conversations, discussions, and tolerate alternative opinions.
Form of study
Prerequisites and co-requisites
Knowledge of the concept of community, their role and place in the system of development of the population's well-being; basic knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods.
Course content
The purpose of the discipline is to form an understanding of the theoretical and methodological foundations of research and assessment of the social situation of affected communities; stimulate interest in the study of technologies for assessing needs and communities; increase the level of competence of masters in drawing up programs for assessing the social situation of the community and finding optimal ways to create programs and projects to meet community needs.
The discipline aims to develop an understanding of the importance of communities, the ability to collect and analyze data to identify the actual needs of community members and organize activities to meet them.
