Learning outcomes
• Master the basic laws of physics, master the methods and principles of both theoretical solution of nuclear physics and planning and execution of nuclear physics experiment to develop students' skills of experimentation, observation of nuclear phenomena and processing of experimental results. • Freely navigate at the qualitative and quantitative level in the main nuclear-physical phenomena • To develop skills of practical use of the acquired knowledge, methods and approaches in the further mastering of courses in the specialty of atomic nucleus physics.

1. Successful mastering of basic courses of physics: "Physics of the atomic nucleus and elementary particles", "Mechanics", "Molecular physics", "Electricity", "Optics". 2. Be able to solve problems from basic physics courses. 3. Have basic computer skills to search for information on the Internet
Course content
The course "Radiation protection and biosecurity calculations" will allow: • Master the basic laws of physics, master the methods and principles of both theoretical solution of nuclear physics and planning and execution of nuclear physics experiment to develop students' skills of experimentation, observation of nuclear phenomena and processing of experimental results. • Freely navigate at the qualitative and quantitative level in the main nuclear-physical phenomena • To develop skills of practical use of the acquired knowledge, methods and approaches in the further mastering of courses in the specialty of atomic nucleus physics. Work with measures to protect against the effects of ionizing radiation.

Assessment methods and criteria
The discipline "Radiation protection and bioprotection calculations" is evaluated by a modular rating system. It consists of 2 modules. The results of students' educational activity are evaluated on a 100 - point scale. - semester assessment: 1. Two modular tests (maximum - 20x2 = 40 points). 2. Survey during lectures (maximum - 10 points). 3. Evaluation of homework (maximum - 10 points). - final assessment in the form of an exam (maximum -40 points) - Final assessment in the form of an exam
