Learning outcomes
Know the theoretical foundations of life safety: classification of hazards, sources and factors of danger, types of risk, methods for determining risk; fundamentals of dosimetry of ionizing radiation and the main provisions of the concept of radiation monitoring; general patterns of development and interaction of the system "man - society - biota - environment"; natural-scientific and economic foundations of rational nature management. To be able to identify potential hazards, that is, to recognize their type, to determine the spatial and temporal coordinates, the magnitude and probability of their manifestation, to statistically evaluate the hazardous factors for human life; plan activities to create healthy and safe living conditions in the "human-living environment" system. Be able to apply fundamental environmental knowledge to assess the ecological and economic state of the region, country.
Form of study
Full-time form
Prerequisites and co-requisites
To know the main concepts of the school course "Life Safety", the main ecological concepts of the school course "Biology", the discipline "Atomic Physics" (5th semester). Possess elementary skills to receive and analyze information about demographic and statistical data, ecological state and ecological consequences of certain professional activities.
Course content
The course "Life safety with the basics of ecology" considers a system of organizational, technical, sanitary and hygienic, educational and legal measures carried out to ensure the life of a person, a team in the event of a man-made hazard, accidents, extreme situations. . The purpose of studying the discipline is to provide students with knowledge that meets modern requirements about the general patterns of occurrence and development of hazards, emergencies, their properties, and their possible impact on human life and health. The educational task of the course is to master the methods and principles necessary in the future practical activities of a specialist, the skills and abilities to prevent dangers. The learning outcomes lie in the ability to create conditions for the normal state of the human environment.
