Learning outcomes
Learning outcomes are knowledge of fundamental laws and mastery of the methods of classical mechanics. In particular, the methods of Newton-Euler mechanics, Lagrange mechanics, Hamilton mechanics and analytical mechanics. Know the laws of motion of a continuous medium, models of a continuous medium and the equations of their motion. Also, as a result, students will be introduced to the basic approximations of the equations of mechanics and the basic models of behavior of a continuous environment in the external field.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Know the basic laws of mechanics, molecular physics, electricity and magnetism, in particular, Newton's laws, integrals of motion, laws of interaction of Newton, Coulomb, Lorentz, Hooke's law. Possess the apparatus of mathematical analysis, linear algebra and analytical geometry, ordinary differential equations, the theory of complex variable functions, the basics of vector and tensor calculus and field theory. Operate expressions for gradient, divergence, rotor and Laplace operator in curvilinear coordinate systems. Be able to apply previous knowledge of mathematical analysis, linear algebra and analytical geometry, basics of vector and tensor analysis and differential equations to solve algebraic and differential equations and their systems. Have the skills to calculate derivatives, integrals, integrals dependent on the parameter, actions on vectors, build graphs of functions, determine and decompose functions into a Taylor series and orthogonal basis.
Course content
The normative subject "Classical Mechanics" is a component of the cycle of professional training of specialists in the degree of "Bachelor of Physics", "Bachelor of Astronomy" and "Bachelor of Optics" and basic for the study of all physical subjects. The course of classical mechanics is designed to deepen the knowledge gained in the general course of physics, to master its mathematical apparatus and on its basis - to master the methods of Lagrange mechanics, Hamilton mechanics and analytical mechanics, different representations of equations of motion of material points and absolutely solids and basic equations , in particular, elastic bodies, gases and liquids.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The total amount of 120 hours, including: Lectures - 30 hours. Practical classes - 30 hours. Consultations - 2 hours. Independent work - 60 hours.
Assessment methods and criteria
The control is carried out according to the module-rating system, which consists of 2 content modules. The knowledge assessment system includes current, modular and semester control of knowledge. Forms of current control: assessment of homework, written independent assignments, and tests performed by students during practical classes. The student can receive a maximum of 45 points for homework, independent assignments, oral answers, additions to practical classes, tests (20 and 25 points in each content module), as well as 15 points for the colloquium. Modular control: modular control work and colloquium. The student can receive a maximum of 15 points for modular control work (out of 45 points) The final semester control is conducted in the form of an exam (40 points). The exam ticket includes 2 theoretical questions (15 and 10 points) and a task (15 points).
