Prerequisites and co-requisites
To successfully complete the course, students must first master the courses: "Chinese language: advanced level", "Translation studies", "Fundamentals of Chinese translation practice", etc.; to know the theoretical foundations of linguistics and translation studies; to be able to apply the theoretical skills of simultaneous translation in a practical way
Course content
The purpose of the discipline: formation of Chinese Orientalists' professional simultaneous interpretation and translation cursive skills, formation of professional translation and professionally oriented intercultural communicative competences.Abstract. The course "Interpretation of Negotiations and Conferences (Chinese Language)" consists of 2 content modules. Module 1 is aimed at the formation of students of practical interpretation skills within the framework of Ukrainian-Chinese business communication. Module 2 is focused on students mastering the skills of consecutive and simultaneous interpretation during public events of a scientific and business nature. Peculiarities of two-way interpretation within international seminars, conferences, symposia, business meetings and negotiations are considered. The discipline ends with an exam.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The course provides for the following forms of training organization: practical classes and unsupervised work. The main types of work and, accordingly, the objects of semester control are: classwork (oral answers and written works), individual scientific and analytical project work, modular control work. A student can score a maximum of 100 points and a minimum of 60 points for performing the prescribed types of work. In detail, the criteria for evaluating the types of works during the semester are presented in the work program of the discipline, published on the official website of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology.
Assessment methods and criteria
The overall grade is formed from the points received for work during the semester (maximum – 60 points, minimum – 36 points) and points of the final assessment in the form of an exam (maximum – 40 points, minimum – 24 points). The format of the exam is written, the ticket contains 2 practical tasks (translation of a text from Chinese into Ukrainian 50%, translation of a text from Ukrainian into Chinese 50%), each of which is evaluated with a maximum of 20 points The exam is conducted according to the Learning outcomes: LR 1.1, LR 1.2 , LR 1.3; LR 1.4; LR 2.2; LR 2.3. The evaluation criteria are presented in detail in the work program of the discipline, published on the official website of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology.
