PRS 7.2. To apply the skills and abilities necessary for the translation of Korean-language texts related to various genres, styles, discourses (economic, legal, diplomatic, artistic, media and Internet), audiovisual translation.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Successful completion of courses: "Oriental language: intermediate level", "Lexicology of the first oriental language", "Fundamentals of translation theory", "Fundamentals of translation practice", "Fundamentals of linguistics: synchrony", "Fundamentals of linguistics: diachrony". Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of general linguistics, the basics of stylistics, grammar, translation studies, the basic principles of communication ethics and the value system of Korean society. Knowledge of the Korean language at an intermediate level, knowledge of linguistic terminology.
Course content
The aim of the discipline is to improve the professional competences of an interpreter, practical development of theoretical knowledge. The course teaches students using practical material to implement lexical and grammatical translation transformations in order to achieve the adequacy of Korean-Ukrainian translation, introduces the concepts of stylistic norm and discursive tradition, generalizes the knowledge of previous courses and deepens preparation in Korean philology.
