Learning outcomes
PRN 1. Communicate freely on professional issues with specialists and non-specialists in national and foreign languages orally and in writing, use them to organize effective intercultural communication.
PRN 10. Know the norms of the literary language and be able to apply them in practical activities.
PRN 11. Know the principles, technologies and methods of creating oral and written texts of various genres and styles in the national, Kor. and Eng. languages.
PRN16. To know and understand the basic concepts, theories and concepts of the chosen philological specialization, to be able to apply them in professional activities.
PRN 20. Perform oral and written two-way Korean-Ukrainian translation in compliance with linguistic and stylistic norms.
PRN 23.2. To adhere to the theoretical principles of translation studies during artistic translation.
PRN 24.2. Have skills in translating Korean prose, poetic works and movies
PRN 25.2. Demonstrate cultural translation skills.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
knowledge of basic terms and concepts of general linguistics and translation studies. Basic knowledge of the Korean language.
Course content
The goal of the discipline is to provide students with systematic knowledge of the main methods of translating artistic texts. To improve students' professional competences and their practical skills in translating text from the original language into the target language, to understand logical semantic blocks and adequately transform them into semantic blocks of the translation language.
