Learning outcomes
PLO5. Apply analytical and methodical tools for understanding the logic of making economic decisions by various economic agents (individuals, households, enterprises, and state authorities).
PLO9. Realize the main features of the modern world and national economy, the institutional structure, and the state's social, economic, and foreign economic policy.
PLO12. Apply the acquired theoretical knowledge to solve practical problems and interpret the obtained results in a meaningful way.
PLO18. Use normative and legal acts regulating professional activity.
PLO26. Apply information on the latest phenomena and processes taking place in the international economy, and formulate strategies for the activities of its actors in the global environment.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
To know: the essence and the methods of entrepreneurial activity organization, the content of economic indicators, the international economic relations form.
To have the skills of analysis, synthesis, processing, and visualization of statistical and primary data, work with the regulatory framework, skills in calculating economic indicators.
Course content
The discipline studies the forms, features, and strategies of international investment activity.
It consists of the following modules:
Module 1. "Theoretical grounds and instruments of international investment" – topics 1-6, which considers the essence and forms of international investment activity; development factors and trends in international investment activities; the theory of international investment and aspects of their application in nowaday practice; strategies and instruments of activity in international investment markets; principles of international investment portfolio creation.
Module 2. "Economic forms and practical aspects of international investment", topics 7-13, which considers the peculiarities of international investment activities in the markets of stocks, bonds, derivatives, gold; specifics of international direct and portfolio investment; approaches to assessing the effectiveness of direct and portfolio international investments; the principles and directions of regulation of international investment.

Assessment methods and criteria
Discussion, survey, presentation of group and individual tasks, essays, task linking, business game, modular control work, defense of individual project, exam
- semester assessment:
1. Survey, presentation of the group and individual tasks, problem-solving, modular control work – 40 points / 24 points;
2. Implementation and protection of an individual project – 20 points /12 points;
- the final assessment in the form of an exam is 40/24 points.
The following tasks are submitted to the exam: tests, creative tasks, problem-solving tasks, categories.
The student is not allowed to take the exam if he received less than 36 points during the semester.
If the student's grade on the exam is lower than the minimum threshold level (24 points), then the scores for the exam are not added to the semester assessment (considered to be zero), and the final assessment in the discipline is ungraded.
