Learning outcomes
To know and master theoretical knowledge about: Terminology of specialty: international law, economics, diplomacy in English and its Ukrainian equivalents. Vocabulary in social and political sphere. Lexico-grammatical and stylistic peculiarities of texts, clichés characteristic for specialty. Texts of international documents. Be able to read literature and publicistic materials in the field of specialty to render in spoken or written forms. Be able to determine the theme, attitude and idea of the author, main, reasoning and illustrating information in the texts. Be able to understand spoken language of the lecturer, news reader in the field of specialty.

V semester Theme 1. Language for specific purposes in the system of functional styles. Specialty system of terms. Theme 2. Vocabulary and syntaxes of scientific language.

Assessment methods and criteria
Control is performed according to modular-rating system. Semester consists of two modular works. Modular works 2 x 10 = 20 Class control: tasks for writing - 10, class work – 10, vocabulary – 10, translation – 10, final evaluation (complex final module):individual reading (150 pages per semester for III year students and 200 pages per semester for IV year students) – 20, lexico-grammatical test (credit/exam) – 20.
