Prerequisites and co-requisites
Before studying this discipline, students must know the basic concepts of general, basic properties and features of the functioning of mental processes. Be able to work with different sources of educational and scientific information, process it, make generalizations and conclusions; analyze and explain social phenomena. Have basic research skills; search and processing of educational and scientific information.
Course content
The purpose of the discipline is to learn the basics of socio-psychological knowledge and skills of their application in professional activities, the formation of students' socio-psychological thinking. Abstract. The discipline "Social Psychology" is a component of the educational-professional training program at the educational qualification level "Bachelor" in the field of knowledge 23 "Social Work" in the direction of training 231 "Social Work". Within the study of this discipline, the peculiarities of defining the subject, tasks, methods of socio-psychological research, problems of communication, groups and individuals in social psychology, the influence of the group on the individual and so on. Consideration of conceptual issues and applied problems of social psychology is envisaged. Considerable attention is paid to the analysis of issues and literature that are submitted for independent study by students.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The course provides 3 semantic parts. The first part of the course - "Subject, tasks and methods of social psychology", the second part of the course - "Socio-psychological patterns of communication", the third part of the course - "Social psychology of groups and individuals." Forms of study: lectures, seminars, group work, independent work. During the semester, after lectures on relevant topics, seminars are held, which are evaluated according to the types of work (oral answer, additions, report at a scientific seminar, participation in discussions at lectures and seminars, intermediate test, exam).
Assessment methods and criteria
Assessment of semester work: oral answer, additions, participation in discussions at lectures and seminars, modular test: 30/50 b. Presentation of socio-psychological research: 6/10 b. The general assessment for the semester consists of points obtained for classroom work (which synthesizes independent work on the development of theoretical material to prepare for classroom: oral answers, additions, blitz-surveys, intermediate modular tests, presentation of socio-psychological research) and for independent work (report preparation). All types of work for the semester have a total of 36/60 b. The discipline ends with an exam in writing 24/40 b.
