Learning outcomes
LO 3. To identify, formulate and solve problems in the field of social work, to integrate theoretical knowledge and practical experience. LO 4. To formulate their own reasonable judgments based on the analysis of a social problem. LO 6. To develop long-term and current plans, programs of activities, to make effective decisions in difficult situations promptly. LO 17. To establish and maintain relationships with clients on the basis of mutual trust and in accordance with ethical principles and standards of social work, to provide them with psychological support and encourage clients. LO 19. To identify strengths and to involve the client’s personal resources, resources of social groups and communities to solve their problems and get out of difficult life circumstances.

Course content
The discipline aims to study and test students' confident non-aggressive (assertive behavior) models in various life situations. As a result of studying the discipline, students learn the definition of assertive behavior and its components, the nature and manifestations of manipulative techniques and opposition to them, mechanisms of self-regulation and psychological mood. The discipline aims to develop an awareness of the stereotypes that lead to insecure and aggressive behavior to determine the individual strategy of effective behavior in difficult life situations. The discipline contains two main modules aimed at analyzing the basic models and rules of assertive behavior, working with the experiences and emotions of the individual, and developing individual models of confident behavior in different situations of interaction.

Assessment methods and criteria
The organization of assessment forms provided by the working curriculum is carried out during the semester during students' creative and reproductive tasks, individual work, a compilation of modular tasks, and a final task. Based on the work results during the semester, the student receives a final grade on a 100-point system, which is calculated as the accumulated grades for the modules during the semester. Creative and reproductive tasks for individual work - up to 20 points for each; modular control work - up to 20 points. A student could not take the final test if he scored less than 36 points during the semester. Form of final control - credit. Credit points: 0-59 - not credited, 60-100 - "credited". Points 1 - 59 corresponds to the assessment of "unsatisfactory"; 60 -74 - "satisfactory"; 75 - 90 - "good"; 91 - 100 - "excellent".
