Prerequisites and co-requisites
must know: theoretical principles of social work with risk groups; socio-psychological factors of deviations in human behavior; specifics of social work with convicts; social and psychological factors of deviant and delinquent behavior; forms of preventive and rehabilitation work with special groups of clients; psychological essence of social conflicts; must be able to: use methods of researching the client's personality; encourage the client to self-change; establish psychological contact with the client; identify current problems of the client; organize social support events; provide various forms of individual help (support); must possess: technologies of crisis intervention, counseling and social support of deviants.
Course content
The aim of the course is to prepare future social workers for the organization of social work aimed at helping to solve problem situations of clients with deviant, delinquent and addictive behavior. Social work with clients of the risk group involves the prevention of their social maladaptation, providing psychological support and providing basic needs of the recipient of social services. The main objectives of the discipline are students' mastering of theoretical foundations of understanding the psychological determinants of deviant, delinquent and addictive behavior for the effective organization of preventive measures.

Assessment methods and criteria
Verbal answers, abstracts, modular control, exam. The maximum number of points per semester is 60 points. The form of the exam is verbal, in accordance with previously submitted creative tasks and projects. The minimum number of points of admission to the exam is 36 points. The number of points scored per semester is announced in advance. Evaluation scale: 0-59 points - fail, 60-74 points – satisfactory, 75-89 – good, 90-100 – excellent.
