Prerequisites and co-requisites
Know: the history of games and game technology; basic cultural forms developed through games; methodology of game design and game technologies; practice and opportunities for the use of games and game technologies in social work; the specifics of each of the basic forms of game technology to solve social problems.
Be able to: independently identify and analyze interactive and game methods and technologies of social work for different categories of clients; integrate theoretical and practical professional knowledge and skills into the practice of social work; distinguish between the game world and the game space; build game programs and include game technologies in social work; use methods of involving customers in game forms of work.
Course content
The purpose of this course is to create conditions for students to acquire knowledge, skills and abilities to implement the acquired professional knowledge and skills in the practice of working with clients of social services through games and interactive technologies. Their use of game and interactive work technologies to solve various problems of social work. Gaining experience in working with interactive technologies, selection, development and implementation of various types of gaming and interactive activities. Much attention is paid to expanding the activity repertoire of social workers through the use of various types of games and interactive technologies in social work.
In seminars, students process the acquired knowledge, solve certain issues of situations in social work with games and game technologies, prepare independent game projects

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral answers, practical tasks, projects, test.
The maximum number of points per semester is 60 points. The form of the test is oral, in accordance with the previously submitted creative tasks and projects. The minimum amount of points of admission to the test is 36 points. The number of points scored per semester is announced in advance.
