Learning outcomes
LO 3. To identify, formulate and solve problems in the field of social work, to integrate theoretical knowledge and practical experience. LO 5. To argue ways to overcome problems and difficult life circumstances theoretically, to choose effective methods to solve them, to predict the consequences. LO 10. To analyze socio-psychological processes in small and large groups. LO 15. To make practical decisions to improve social welfare and to increase social security.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
to know:
- theoretical foundations of the psychology of deviant behavior;
- the main categories and concepts operated by the discipline: «deviant,» «deviant behavior,» «social norm,» «addictions,» etc .;
- structure and components of deviant behavior;
- content and forms of work of a social worker with persons prone to deviant behavior;
- basics of social support for working with people with deviant behavior;
be able:
- to apply the acquired knowledge in practice when working with persons prone to deviant behavior;
- to have practical skills in using various forms and methods of social work with persons with deviant behavior, in particular, skills of social diagnosis, prevention, correction and support;
- to carry out social and psychological support of persons with deviant behavior;
- to assist in implementing resource provision in the correctional work with deviants.
Course content
Social development involves a combination of maximum freedom with the protection of the rights of others. At the same time, deviations from the norm can serve as threats to the stability of social processes. Therefore, studying the socio-psychological aspects of deviant behavior will help students expand their vision of social work with deviants and develop skills, practical skills for timely correction, appropriate assistance, and prevent negative manifestations of deviant behavior in people prone to deviations.
The purpose of the discipline is to acquaint students with the basic concepts of the discipline; forms of manifestations, causes and ways to overcome deviant behavior; technology of social support, which is carried out during social work with persons prone to deviant behavior.

Lectures, seminars, individual work
Assessment methods and criteria
Assessment methods: reproductive tasks for individual work; preparation of seminar and practical tasks; modular control work; final evaluation in the form of a test.
Form of final control - credit
The final grade for the discipline consists of 100 points: 60 points for the module and grades for the exam (40 points). A student is not allowed to take the final test if he scored less than 36 points during the semester. The credit score cannot be less than 24 points.
Organization of assessment: the order of organization of the forms of assessment provided by the working curriculum is carried out during the semester during students' reproductive tasks on independent work, preparation of seminar and practical tasks, compilation of modular tests at the end of the discipline, and final tasks.
