Learning outcomes
To know the concept of European law and EU law, the system of EU law, branches and institutions of European Union law: the main and auxiliary sources of EU law; the concept of supranationality and its features; concepts of the legal nature of the European Union; principles of building the law of the European Union and the treaty mechanism of the European Union; institutional mechanism of the European Union; acts of EU institutions and procedures for their adoption.
Form of study
Prerequisites and co-requisites
Knowledge of the concepts of the legal nature of the EU and the signs of supranationality of the European Union; analyze the constituent documents of the European Union; identify the types of international agreements to which the European Union is a party; have special terminology sufficient for its free use in practical work, including in a foreign language (in particular, English, French and German); apply the acquired knowledge to solve practical problems related to the implementation of Ukraine's foreign policy.

Thematic plan of the discipline: 1. The concept of European Union law and its features. 2. The legal nature of European Union law. 3. Organizational and legal mechanism of the European Union. 4. Institutional mechanism of the European Union. 5. European Council and Council of the European Union. 6. European Commission. 7. European Central Bank. Accounting Chamber of the European Union. 8. Bodies of the European Union. 9. Institutions of the European Union. 10. Judicial system of the European Union. 11. Acts of the institutions of the European Union. Procedures for adopting acts of EU institutions.

Assessment methods and criteria
Evaluation is carried out according to the modular rating system. Current control: answers (up to 30 points), written assignment (up to 3 points), final modular test (up to 50 points). The form of final control is credit.
