Learning outcomes
Know the specifics of news agencies, the principles of rubrication and submission of news on international topics.
To know modern approaches and methodological content of world news agencies, to determine their role in the system of international relations
Be able to write news, analyze and summarize information materials about international life.
Make decisions on submitting country information to the SIA.
Adhere to the rules of editorial policy and current legislation on mass media.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
- knowledge of basic concepts in the field of world news agencies, to determine their role in the system of international relations.

- ability to synthesize knowledge from various fields of scientific and practical activities in order to prepare and write information and analytical materials in the field of international politics for world news agencies;
- to master specific techniques and methods of information flow processing, material collection and preparation of materials for SIA on international issues.

Topic 2. Modern conditions of activity of leading news agencies.
Topic 3. News agencies in the financial markets of the world.
Topic 4. News agencies in the structure of mass media in Eastern Europe.
Topic 5. Directions and dynamics of reforming the mass media system in the new democracies of Eastern Europe.
Final test work 1.
Topic 6. Activities of world news agencies in Ukraine.
Topic 7. World news agencies and the formation of multimedia empires: their impact on ethnocultural processes.
Topic 8. North American news agencies.
Topic 9. Features of the media market of the United States of America.
Topic 10. Recent trends in the development of news agencies in Ukraine.

Assessment methods and criteria
1) defense of individual laboratory tasks;
2) modular tests.

Students can receive up to 20 points for individual work and writing module tasks.
In laboratory classes, students perform practice-oriented tasks, which are assessed with a maximum of 10 points (threshold level of a positive assessment - 2 points).
The content module includes all topics. Mandatory for the test is the performance of individual work provided for in the work program of the discipline.
