PLO 1. Evaluate one's own educational and scientific and professional activities, build and implement an effective strategy of self-development and professional self-improvement.
PLO 3. To apply modern methods and techniques, namely informational, in order to perform successful and effective professional activity and guarantee the quality of research in a specific linguistic field. PLO 5. To find optimal ways for effective interaction in the professional community and with representatives of other professional groups at various levels.
PLO 11. Carry out a scientific analysis of language, speech and literary material, interpret and structure it taking into account appropriate methodological principles, formulate generalizations based on independently processed data.
PLO 12. To observe the rules of academic integrity.

General theoretical training obtained within the framework of bachelor's educational programs.
Course content
The purpose of the subject is to provide students with knowledge and skills that create the necessary organizational and legal basis for carrying out professional research work, its presentation to the scientific community, protection and commercialization of intellectual property rights to its results. The course consists of three content modules. The module "Methodology of Scientific Research" forms an understanding of science as research, introduces the specifically scientific, general scientific and philosophical levels of methodology. The module "Theoretical Foundations of Philological Research" forms students' knowledge of major linguistic and/or literary trends and their development in domestic and foreign fields, an idea of the variety of methodological approaches in philology at the current stage. The module "Fundamentals of Intellectual Property" reveals the role of intellectual property as intellectual capital in the socio-economic development of society and its place in humanities.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Learning activities: lectures, seminars, independent work. Teaching methods: explanatory and illustrative method, method of problem-based learning (problem-based lecture), heuristic method, preparation and discussion of presentations based on the results of scientific research, preparation of abstracts.
Assessment methods and criteria
Current assessment: oral response, mini-project presentation (report), abstract. Final evaluation - credit. Evaluation criteria for each form of control are given in the course program.
