Learning outcomes
PLO 1. Communicate freely on professional issues with experts and non- experts in Ukrainian and Swedish, English and third Germanic language, in oral and in written form, use these languages to organize effective cross-cultural communication. PLO 11. Know the principles, technologies and techniques of oral and written texts of different genres and styles creation in Ukrainian, Swedish English and third Germanic language. PLO 14. Use Swedish, English and third Germanic language in oral and written form, in different genre-stylistic varieties and registers of communication (official, unofficial, neutral), to solve communicative tasks in everyday, social, educational, professional, scientific spheres of life. PLO 15. Perform linguistic, literary and translation analysis of texts of different styles and genres. PLO 20.2. Translate written and oral texts of various styles and genres from Swedish, English and the third Germanic language.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
The course "Written translation from Swedish language" in the sixth semester requires mastery of the Swedish language at a level not lower than B1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages and is also based on theoretical and practical knowledge and skills acquired by students during the study of translation disciplines in previous semesters.
Course content
The course "Written translation from Swedish" covers practical classes. In practical classes, students deepen their practical skills in the written translation of professional texts within the limits of certain fields from the Swedish language into Ukrainian and from the Ukrainian language into Swedish. In the sixth semester, students translate economical and juridical texts. Students also develop the skills of finding equivalents of Swedish terms in Ukrainian using lexicographic and Internet sources, as well as translation analysis. Throughout the course, further development of translation transformation skills, as well as taking into account the functional and stylistic features of the text during translation, takes place.

Assessment methods and criteria
Current assessment: checking of written translations, oral surveys, final test. Final assessment - credit. Evaluation criteria for each form of control are given in the course program.
