To know, understand and be able to use in practice the basic concepts of the theory of tourism, the organization of the tourist process and tourist activities of the subjects of the market of tourist services, as well as worldview and related sciences PLO5. Prerequisites and co-requisites
The educational discipline "GIS technologies in international tourism" is based on the cycle of disciplines of professional and practical training, in particular on the professional subjects of the bachelor's level: "Topography", "Cartography", "Informatics and programming" and is the resulting element of the entire cycle of cartographic subjects.
Course content
The program of the academic discipline consists of the following content modules: The first content module. Historical aspects of GIS development. Structure and functionality of GIS. Information support in GIS. Sources data GIS software (overview of functionality of software products). The second content module. Organization of information in GIS. Information input and output technologies in GIS. Applied application of GIS. Modern directions of creation and examples of GIS application for the needs of the tourism industry. Cartographic research method. Basics of spatial modeling.

Assessment methods and criteria
The course includes 2 meaningful parts. Classes are held in the form of lectures and seminars. The discipline ends with a test. Semester evaluation: the number of points that the student receives during the semester is the sum of the points obtained during the evaluation of preparation for seminar classes and individual tasks (independent work), performance of modular control works. Organization of evaluation: seminar classes and individual tasks (independent work) are defended according to the performance, according to the schedule of seminar classes. Modular control work (MKR) is conducted in test form. Students who received less than the minimum prescribed number of points for the MKR will retake it.
