Course content
Discipline "Ukrainian and foreign culture" belongs to the list of mandatory disciplines of universities for bachelors Educational program "Ukrainian and foreign culture" was created on the basis of the scientific school of the Department of Ukrainian Philosophy and Culture Faculty of Philosophy of Kyiv National University named after Taras Shevchenko and was carried out within the framework of the Comprehensive Scientific Program Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University "Modernization of the social development of Ukraine in the conditions of world processes globalization", research topic of the Faculty of Philosophy Kyiv National University named after Taras Shevchenko 11BF041-01 Philosophical and political aspects of humanitarian development modern society". During the study of this course, the student will receive the basic knowledge about organizational and scientific and methodological support of teaching Ukrainian and foreign culture, basic knowledge of prerequisites formation, genesis, main stages of development and peculiarities of foreign and Ukrainian culture; basic ideas about the main stages of world development and Ukrainian art, modern scientific concepts within which their study is carried out, the main artistic directions and figures which determined their development; basic ideas about the history of development and the functioning of the Ukrainian and foreign cultural space, its genesis and current state.

Assessment methods and criteria
The overall grade for the semester is formed from two components: Grade for the performance of tasks of practical classes (7 classes * for 10 points = maximum 70 points). Assessment for the performance of creative work (maximum 10 points). Final control. Final control - a maximum of 20 points. It is carried out in the form of a written assessment (test) in the last week of the semester. The condition for admission to the credit is the student's performance of practical tasks and creative work with a total score of at least 40 points. Students who scored less than 60 points on all successfully completed forms of control, to increase their grade to 60 points, get the opportunity to write an additional control paper and complete homework. Creative work can be presented in the form of a self-made essay, review, feedback. The maximum score is 10 points. Assessment is carried out in written form - a test. The maximum score is 20.
