Learning outcomes
To name and reproduce the main provisions of tourism legislation, national and international standards for tourist services (LO1); to act in accordance with the principles of social responsibility and civic consciousness (LO16); to defend one's views with arguments in solving professional tasks (LO19); to identify problem situations and propose ways to solve them (LO20).

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of the disciplines "Fundamentals of tourism", "Organization of excursion services", "Organization of hotel management", "Organization of transport services", "Organization of food in tourism", "Organization of services".
2. Elementary skills in the organization of one’s education and training, use of information technologies for the collection, processing and analysis of qualitative and quantitative information and data.
Course content
Part 1 of the course "Systemic essence of tourism policy": Systemic essence, goals and objectives of tourism policy; Evolution of approaches to governance/management in tourism; Sustainability as a new norm and focus of tourism policy; Basics of tourism policy development; The role and functions of state institutions and non-state actors in tourism policy.
Part 2 of the course "Tools for the implementation of tourism policy"; Features and tools of tourism policy: international, supranational (EU), national, regional, local levels; Problems and prospects of tourism policy in the context of modern challenges.

Assessment methods and criteria
1. Tests: 5/25 points;
2. Defense of completed tasks in practical classes (speech, presentation, discussion): 15/25 points;
3. Tasks for independent work: 15/25;
4. Defense of an individual research project: 15/25;
5. Credit test*: 10/40;
The final assessment in the form of pass/fail examination constitutes the total number of points (maximum 100 points) received during the semester, taking into account the defense of an individual research project. * The passing test is held for applicants who did not score the minimum qualifying number of points (60 points) during the semester
