Learning outcomes
Know: The history of geological research and the current level of study of the world's most famous deposits Geological structure and minerals of Phanerozoic structures. Mineral resource base of rare metals. Patterns of location of deposits of non-metallic minerals. 1.2 Modern metallogenic zoning and regional ore-bearing structures of the earth's crust. Be able to: Determine genetic types of mineral deposits, their location in the world, mineral composition, evaluate their importance, areas of use. Draw up diagrams - the location of deposits in the geological structures of different countries. Use the acquired knowledge to determine the most important directions for further mineral exploration in the world and on the territory of Ukraine.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Knowledge of geochemistry, mineralogy and other geological disciplines 2. Possession of information about deposits and the current state of the mineral and raw material base of the world.
Course content
The discipline program contains basic information about the genetic types of mineral deposits in different regions of the world and the use of mineral deposits in different countries: in particular, deposits of ferrous, non-ferrous, noble, rare, rare earth, radioactive metals and non-metallic minerals

Assessment methods and criteria
Final evaluation in the form of an exam: the maximum score is 40 points, the final score is 24 points. During the semester, 2 written modular tests are planned, each of which is evaluated at 10 points, and practical work in the amount of -40 points. Final evaluation in the form of an exam is mandatory,
