PLO 4. Understand the fundamental principles of human, nature and society genesis. PLO 5. Understand the major issues of philology and approaches to solving those using relevant methods and innovative approaches. PLO 14. Use English and two other Western European languages in oral and written form, in different genre-style varieties and registers of communication (formal, informal, neutral), for solving communicative tasks in everyday, public, educational, professional and academic spheres of life.

A “Pass” in second language (French) courses taught at the educational program.
Course content
The course aims to introduce the vocabulary of modern French business speech, genres of business speech, current lexical-semantic, stylistic and pragmatic problems of business speech translation and possible ways to overcome them to students. The subject of study of the discipline is practical skills in business communication in French, improvement of the practical knowledge of French, solution of stylistic and pragmatic problems of French business speech translation.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Training activities during the term: • oral answer, • additions to other students’ answers, participation in the discussion, • tests, • presentation, • final assessment.
Assessment methods and criteria
Continuous assessment according to the types of work and forms of control planned for the syllabus is carried out during the term. A “Pass” in the discipline is based on the results of the student's work throughout the term and does not require additional assessment activities. Students who have scored a minimum positive number of points – 60 get a "Pass". Students who have not scored a minimum positive number of points – 60 get "Fail". Students who scored a total of less than 60 points per term have to write individual works, essays or, if necessary, a test on the missed topics to get a “Pass” in the discipline.
