Program Learning Outcomes PLO 4. Know and apply modern views, approaches, methods, principles, tools, and organizational forms of teaching and education in profession-oriented high school and tertiary school; methods, techniques, and the tools of measuring learning outcomes. PLO 5. Know the developmental characteristics of young adolescents, the features of psychophysiological adaptation of secondary and tertiary students and consider them in learning process. PLO Au. 1. Successful performance in this course builds on prior mastering of the courses in Psychology and History of Pedagogy. Students are expected to possess essential knowledge of the theoretical foundations of the development of pedagogy and psychology. Also the course prerequisites highlight the knowledge and ability to rely on the educational experience of outstanding classical and modern teachers in the system of secondary and postsecondary education.

The course aims to build students' competencies in theory and practice of teaching in profession-oriented high school and university; to shape students' knowledge of the age features of high school students and master's students; to develop skills needed for teaching in high school and university; to build professional competencies and practice pedagogical thinking. Abstract. The course develops the knowledge of peculiarities of educational and pedagogical process organization in profession-oriented high school and university as well as of the age features of high school and university students. The discipline is oriented towards building pedagogical and psychological competencies in students; ability to make a psychological description of high school and university students' / teachers' types; using various techniques to influence the target audience. When mastering the course students develop their pedagogical thinking, learn to analyze pedagogical realities, imply concious mastering of pedagogical skills and knowledge. The course is divided into three units: Pedagogy in Secondary and Postsecondary Education, Pedagogical Creativity, Psychology of High School Students and University Students.

The course is delivered in Ukrainian through a mixture of lectures, practical sessions and independent learning. Major activities performed by the students include classroom assignments (speeches. reports), practical tasks (solving pedagogical tasks), didactic play, project presentations and module tests. A student can score a maximum of 60 points and a minimum of 36 points for these activities that are components of formative assessment. Summative assessment takes the form of an exam.

With a 100-point assessment system used, a final grade for the course is a sum of the points earned for the formative assessment (max – 60; min - 36) and summative assessment (max – 40; min – 24). Formative assessment is targeted at classroom performance (speeches, reports) (15 points), practical tasks (solving pedagogical tasks) (8 points), didactic play (5 points), project presentation (12 points), Module test 1 (10 points), Module test 2 (10 points). Summative assessment is an exam that integrates writing assignments: an exam card consists of 4 questions (10 points each) which concern broad theoretical areas of the subject. The exam is designed to cover the intended learning outcomes (LO) of the course such as LO 1.1-1.7; LO 2.1-2.3, LO 4.1.
