Learning outcomes
PLO 2. Confidently speak the state and foreign languages for the implementation of written and oral communication, in particular in situations of professional and scientific communication; present research results in the state and foreign languages PLO 10. Collect and systematize linguistic and literary facts, interpret and translate texts of various styles and genres in the field of Japanese philology PLO 20. Apply the acquired knowledge, skills and abilities to translate texts of different genres and styles from Japanese and English into Ukrainian and vice versa

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1) successful completion of the course "Japanese for Professional Communication", which focuses on the grammatical, lexical, stylistic and functional aspects of Japanese at the C1-C2 level, which will be useful for orientalists and Japanese specialists in their work in the field; 2) mastering theoretical knowledge of translation from Japanese, its characteristic features, parts of speech and ways of connecting them in a sentence, etc., which are given during the course "Theory and Methodology of Japanese Translation".
Course content
The discipline "Japanese-English industry-specific translation" belongs to the elective block of disciplines "Academic Japanese and Translation", consists of 3 credits in the third semester (90 hours, including 30 hours of practical classes and 60 hours of independent work) and ends with a test. The course broadens students' linguistic outlook, deepens their practical language training, and develops practical skills and abilities in the translation of scientific, technical, and information technology-related texts.
