Prerequisites and co-requisites
1 Successful mastering of the disciplines "Fundamentals of Geoecology", "Biogeography", "Economic and social geography of the world", "Physical geography of continents and oceans", "Landscape ecology". 2. To know the essence of global and regional geoecological problems of the modern world; the main features of the functioning of natural geosystems, that are affected by anthropogenic activity; principles and methods ensuring sustainable development of territories; 3. To be able to find the necessary information on the Internet and analyze the received information with regard to international environmental cooperation. 4. To have elementary skills of complex analysis geoecological problems from the angle of economic and social factors; working with cartographic materials and using a professional terminology.
Course content
Materials of the educational discipline reveal the purpose, tasks and mechanisms of implementation of bilateral and multilateral international agreements aimed at solving problems environmental degradation, climate change, pollution of the atmosphere, oceans, etc inland seas, restriction of circulation of dangerous and toxic compounds, as well as coverage of the role of the public in ensuring human rights in a clear way the environment Shown are the best practices of preserving biodiversity, combating international environmental crime, trends and threats to the environment from uncontrolled spread of persistent organic pollutants. Illuminated the role of the UN, intergovernmental programs and institutions and other related international organizations whose activities are aimed at mitigating global and regional geoecological problems.
