To be able to analyze the peculiarities of natural and anthropogenic processes in geographical envelopes, to be able to carry out a comprehensive assessment of the state geocomponents; 3. To know the main features of the functioning of natural geosystems undergoing the influence of anthropogenic activity; 4. To know modern quantitative and qualitative methods of geographical research, to be able to use them apply in production and research activities; 5. to be able to model objects and processes, using modern quantitative and qualitative methods methods and geoinformation technologies.
Course content
This academic discipline is dedicated to the study of the general mechanisms of the functioning of natural geosystems, features of the processes occurring in anthropogenic systems, in particular causes of environmental problems; principles and modern methods, about conducting monitoring studies of landscape components, as well as formation skills and abilities to solve the main geoecological problems in the plane subject area of knowledge of natural geography. Discipline is aimed at formation of special professional, social and personal skills in students competencies, accumulation of knowledge regarding the possibility of critical thinking, analysis and synthesis, the ability to search, process and analyze information from various sources, the ability to identify, formulate and solve problems in the field of natural sciences geography and geoecology. Separate components of the discipline are the study of principles and methods of conducting monitoring studies of geocomponents, methods increasing the effectiveness of monitoring studies; features of the method conducting monitoring studies in urban and agroecosystems; procedures conducting observations on the level of pollution of landscape components. The functional block of the discipline involves mastering the following components, as the ability to apply basic knowledge of natural sciences and information technologies in natural and geographical activity, the ability to apply quantitative and qualitative methods in the study of geosystems, the ability to independently research, analyze spatio-temporal changes in the parameters of geocomponents including for the purposes of international environmental cooperation.
