1. To explain features of the organization geographical space depending on his physical geographical features, fig landscape structure (PRN-3). 2. Analyze geographic potential territory taking into account it landscape structure (PRN-4). 3. Determine the main ones characteristics, processes, history and composition landscape shell and its components (PRN-7). 4. Apply models, methods of physics, chemistry, geology, ecology, mathematicians, information technologies etc. when studying natural and social processes of formation and development of landscapes and their components (PRN-8).

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of the disciplines "Biogeography", "Geology", "Meteorology", "Hydrology and oceanology", "Soil science", "Geomorphology", "Cartography", "Fundamentals of geoecology". 2. To be able to establish the nature of relationships between the causes of occurrence, consequences and ways of solving geoecological problems. 3. To be able to analyze the negative consequences of unregulated economy human activity from the standpoint of the geoecological approach to environmental protection problems 4. To know the main theoretical provisions of modern geoecology, the history of its formation of this science, its structure and regularities of natural functioning environment 5. To know modern quantitative and qualitative methods of geoecological research, methodology studies of natural and transformed landscapes, determination of standards purity of the components of the natural environment, geoecological organization monitoring etc.
Course content
This academic discipline dedicated to the study of general features of the functioning of geoecosystems, which are influenced by economic and other human activities, their causes emergence, principles and modern methods used in geoecology research, as well as the formation of skills and abilities to solve current ones of geoecological problems in the plane of the subject area of ​​knowledge of natural science geography The discipline "Land cover system of the world" is aimed at deepening of theoretical geoecological knowledge, formation of students accumulation of special professional, social and personal competencies knowledge about the possibility of critical thinking, analysis and synthesis, ability 4 ability to search, process and analyze information from various sources identify, formulate and solve problems in the field of natural geography and geoecology. Separate components of the discipline are the study of principles and methods systematization of the world's land covers; management methods environmental protection processes in geosystems of different hierarchical levels; principles of rational use and protection of components of geoecosystems from the influence of adverse anthropogenic and technogenic factors; methods carrying out an operational synthesis of reliable information about the relevant classes geosystems and their parametric characteristics. The functional block of the discipline involves mastering the following components, such as the ability to apply basic knowledge of natural sciences and information technologies in project planning activities, ability apply quantitative and qualitative methods of geoecosystem research, ability independently research, analyze spatio-temporal changes of geoecosystems for goals of rational nature management and nature protection.
