Learning outcomes
To know the local lore typology of the post-Soviet space, Europe, North America, Asia, Africa, Oceania and Latin America and their regional associations; know geopolitical, climatic, ethno-demographic, cultural and civilizational, historical, socio-economic and political and legal features of the development of countries and regions. To be able to navigate the political, social and humanitarian problems of the modern world; to build the general scheme of the local lore characteristic, to make regional studies issues. To prepare written and oral abstracts, as well as presentations on the proposed issues, using modern computer technology. To advocate an active civil position in the protection of Ukraine's national interests in relations with the post-Soviet space, Europe, North America, Asia, Africa, Oceania and Latin America.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Knowledge of natural and social sciences acquired in the framework of completed secondary education; successful mastering of the course "Introduction to the specialty"; ability to work with maps and charts; basic skills of historical and socio-cultural analysis.
Course content
Introduction to the course. Historical and political preconditions for the formation of the post-Soviet space. European countries of the former USSR. Countries of the South Caucasus Post-Soviet countries of Central Asia. Anglo-Saxon European countries of North America. German-speaking federations of Europe. Novel-speaking countries of Western Europe. Northern European countries. Central and Eastern European countries and the Balkans. East Asian countries. PRC. East Asian countries. Japan and South Korea. Countries of South Asia. Middle Eastern countries. Turkey and Iran. The countries of the Arab East and Israel. La Plata countries. Andean countries. Central American countries. Mexico.
