Рrerequisites for mastering or choosing an academic discipline: there is no To have elementary skills of using cartography works in solving scientific and practical tasks.

The course "Cartography" consists of two content modules. The first module is devoted to the structure of cartography, its connection with others sciences, theoretical concepts in cartography, mathematical basis cartographic works, types of cartographic works, methods and techniques mapping, inscriptions on maps and cartographic generalization. The second module covers design, layout and publishing maps, application of cartographic works in scientific work, connection of cartography with geoinformatics, remote sensing methods of the Earth; using maps and general requirements, analysis and assessment of cartographic sources; modern methods developments and technologies for compiling cartographic works. The educational discipline "Cartography" is a component of educational and professional programs "Cross-border ecological cooperation" of the field of knowledge 10 "Natural sciences" specialty 106 - "Geography".
