Course content
The discipline consists of two
content modules. The first content module is devoted to study
properties and characteristics of the Earth's atmosphere, meteorological methods
measurements and observations; study of the chemical composition of the atmosphere, its
vertical structure, properties of layers according to signs: stratification,
intensity of physico-chemical processes, degree of ionization, character
interactions with the underlying surface; study of radiation properties
flows in the Sun-atmosphere-Earth surface system, regularities
geographical distribution of the components of the radiation balance of the subsoil surface;
mechanisms of heat exchange between the subsoil surface and the atmosphere, thermal
regime of the earth's surface and air in the daily and annual course; study of conditions
phase transformations of water in the atmosphere, the main characteristics of humidity
air and its daily and interseasonal changes; processes of cloud formation, classification
clouds; processes of precipitation, classification of atmospheric precipitation; conditions
formation of fogs, hazes, terrestrial hydrometeors; study
regularities of changes in atmospheric pressure vertically, baric structure
field and properties of its components; wind and the forces that determine it;
large-scale air currents in the general atmospheric circulation system;
local winds; classifications and main characteristics of air masses and
atmospheric fronts; characteristics of adverse meteorological conditions and
phenomenon The second content module is devoted to the study of properties
climate system of the Earth, features of climate-forming interactions
factors, classification of Earth's climates, hypotheses explaining climate changes,
the main features of the climate of past eras, modern trends of global and
regional climate changes and their consequences.
