P01. Know, understand and be able to use the basic ones in practice concepts from the theory of physical geography, landscape ecology, as well as philosophical sciences P06. Use informative technologies, cartographic and geoinformation models in the study landscape structure of the territory, execution of complex ecological projects P07. Determine the main ones characteristics, processes, history and the composition of the landscape shell and its components P09. Analyze the composition and structure natural and sociospheres included in areas of cross-border interests, regional and local projects on on different spatial and temporal scales to ensure successful ecological cooperation.

Full-time form

1. Successful completion of the course "Geography", "Mathematics". 2. Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of the sciences, which contribute to a deeper understanding properties of the Earth's physical surface, its correct display on maps. 3. Have elementary mathematical analysis skills and skills solving tasks with a general geographic map.

Cartography with the basics of topography is one of the introductory ones disciplines studied by students of geographical faculties of universities. It provides familiarization with the subject of cartography, the structure of cartography, properties of the map as a model real world, classification of cartographic works, map elements. Questions are being considered mathematical basis of cartographic works, incl. scales, map projections, distortion of the cartographic image, classification of cartographic projections and their basic properties, projections for world territories, hemispheres, continents, oceans and states. Issues of geographical features of cartographic generalization on maps are revealed; methods of mapping objects and phenomena, features of map making. It is being analyzed application of cartographic works in scientific and practical literature. They are resolved tasks using a topographic map.
