Learning outcomes
1.1 To know the basic theoretical paradigms that reveal the concepts of "religious processes" and "migration". 1.2 To know the basic social mechanisms of religious processes and migration in the participating Ukrainian society. 1.3 To know the content of the concepts of research of religious processes and migration in view of modern transformational processes in society. 2.1 To analyze the types of religious and migration processes in modern Ukrainian society. 2.2 To identify trends and consequences of modern religious and migration processes in Ukrainian society. 3.1 To demonstrate the skills of reasoned presentation of personal opinion, competent and tolerant discussion with opponents.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. To know the specifics of the sociological approach to the study of modern society and its social problems. 2. To be able to create presentations at seminars, in a mass audience. 3. To have basic skills of group work and public discussion.
Course content
1. Theoretical issues of religiosity. 2. Social perspective of religious processes. 3. Sociological methods of studying religious processes. 4. Methodology of sociological study of migration. 5. Migration as a social phenomenon. 6. Modern migration studies.

Assessment methods and criteria
1. oral presentations: LR1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 2.1, 2.2 - maximum 30 points, minimum 18 points. 2. analytical task: LR1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 2.1, 2.2, 3.1 - maximum 5 points, minimum 3 points. 3. tasks on individual work: LR1.1, 1.3, 2.2, 3.1 - maximum 5 points, minimum 3 points. 4. control work 1: LR1.2, 3.1– maximum 10 points, minimum 6 points. 5. control work 2: LR1.2, 3.1– maximum 10 points, minimum 6 points. final assessment: written exam (assessed LR1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 2.1) - maximum 40 points. The minimum score for passing the exam is 24 points.
